Cornerstone unites eight siblings in two foster homes
June 2008 - Cornerstone Family Services successfully united a
sibling group of eight foster children that were previously spread
around Georgia. All eight children are now placed with two foster
families in the Mount Bethel UMC Community of Care and are able to
visit and play together.
"Estimates indicate that nearly two-thirds of all children in
foster care have siblings and are separated. Uniting sibling groups
is a focus of ours," said Bill Hancock, founder and president of
Cornerstone Family Services. "Uniting a sibling group of this size
is a demonstration of the Christian calling and unparalleled
service provided by a community organized to do what's best for
children."
