Alpharetta, GA - August
23, 2010 - North Point Community Church will announce its new
partnership with FaithBridge Foster Care on August 29, 2010 during
their Sunday morning services. Together with FaithBridge, the
church will be recruiting and equipping foster parents and
volunteers. The public is always welcome to attend North Point
Community Church, especially for the launch on August 29. Services
are at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 12:45 p.m., and are located at
4350 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta.
"FaithBridge is a remarkable organization making a big difference
in the foster care system. We are excited to partner with them,
lending our resources to help them go further faster," said North
Point Community Church Pastor Andy Stanley.
There are more than 10,000 Georgia
children in foster care and 880* in Fulton County alone. Yet, there
are approximately half of the necessary foster families to serve
them. FaithBridge Foster Care is a Christ-centered, tax-exempt
organization intent on changing this reality. With more than 14
church partners in north Georgia and the greater Atlanta area,
FaithBridge's strategy is to mobilize, organize, equip and release
local churches and communities to solve the country's foster care
crisis. For more information on FaithBridge, please call
