What’s the first step to getting involved in foster care, either as a foster parent, respite parent or volunteer? Starting training!
Where to start?
With an Encounter
If you’re new to foster care, sign up for an Encounter.
Our two-hour information session will introduce you to the need for and the ways to be involved with Christian foster care. This is where everyone starts the journey of becoming foster or respite parents or volunteers. Sign up for an event near you today!
Want to Become a Foster or Respite Parent?
If you’ve already attended an Encounter, then you need to sign up for Foundations.
This multi-day training is for foster and respite families and meets the state-mandated requirement. If you are going through the process to become a FaithBridge foster or respite family, this training is for you AFTER you have attended an Encounter.
Want to volunteer?
Support Team Volunteer Training
Have you completed Encounter and want to learn more about volunteering in your foster care ministry? Then you can to sign up for our RPPS Support Team Volunteer Training.
This training helps volunteers be better prepared to work with foster children and serve foster families. This is not a required training, yet it is beneficial in the ministry of serving in foster care.
