Making Sense of Our Childrens Stories: Navigating Birth Family Relationships *CHILDCARE PROVIDED* It can be hard to navigate birth family relationships and help our children make sense of their own stories when serving as a foster or adoptive parent. How we feel about bio families will be communicated to the kids in our home (whether consciously or not), so we need the opportunity to work through our own insecurities/beliefs in order to communicate in a truthful/healthy way with our kids. In this training, we will discuss the comparison trap that can happen when we compare ourselves to the biological family and learn healthy tools for navigating these complicated relationships with a spiritual basis.
