In order to begin Foundations Training you must have completed Encounter, FaithBridge's Orientation. All foster parents are required to complete Foundations Training in order to obtain their foster care license through FaithBridge. The training includes 6 in-person training sessions. The 6-sessions are divided into two different types of training environments: classroom training held virtually, and one-on-one personalized training held in the foster home. Once you complete the virtual portion of the training, a FaithBridge staff member will schedule the remaining individualized training sessions in your home. FaithBridge Foundations Training is designed to prepare foster parent applicants for the physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of caring for foster children. The training covers important topics while helping families examine their hearts to determine if they are called to foster.

'Authentic Storytelling for Children and Parents'Have you ever wondered how to talk to your child about their birth family beginnings? Authentic storytelling is important for children to understand their origin and beginnings, while honoring the place they are currently in. It is also vital as parents to remember our own story. Join us as we learn from Katie and Luke McGee, foster and adoptive parents, as they share why it is important to discuss these origins in a healthy way and the how behind it. We will be utilizing the book 'Truth Be Told' by Dan Allender.
