In order to begin Foundations Training you must have completed Encounter, FaithBridge's Orientation. All foster parents are required to complete Foundations Training in order to obtain their foster care license through FaithBridge. The sessions are divided into two different types of training environments: classroom training held virtually, and one-on-one personalized training held in the foster home. Once you complete the virtual classroom portion of the training, a FaithBridge staff member will schedule the remaining individualized training sessions in your home. FaithBridge Foundations Training is designed to prepare foster parent applicants for the physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of caring for foster children. The training covers important topics while helping families examine their hearts to determine if they are called to foster.
